The Relationship Management team at the LME Group is responsible for providing dedicated and individual coverage to our portfolio of current and prospective members. The role will include solving complex problems for members and prospects related to exchange trading, contract matching and post trade services, as well as clearing services. An understanding of LME front, middle and back office workings and operations will be required.
A Relationship Manager will be required to develop a deep knowledge of each client’s business model and trends, identifying product development opportunities to pass on internally, and promoting the group's products and services to members. The Relationship Manager is also required to provide assistance to the Head of RM and the other Relationship Managers to enable them to operate effectively and efficiently. The Relationship Manager would be required to work closely with all LME Group business units and develop strong internal relationships in order to be able to provide an efficient service to external members.

Responsibilities:- Take responsibility for the successful management of a portfolio of accounts and customers reporting directly to the Head of RM.
- Develop a tailored customer management strategy and nurture strong relationships at all levels of management with all members.
- Assist with the successful management of the broader portfolio of accounts and customers helping other Relationship Managers as and when required.
- Have an excellent understanding of the products and services offered by the LME and LME Clear.
- Have a good understanding of the regulatory environment affecting our membership.
- Assist Market Access in evaluating membership applications, conducting the initial site visit, documenting conclusions and ensuring retention as per KYC Procedures and AML policy.
- Assist with document and presentation preparation, predominantly in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Ensuring member contact lists are up to date.
- Oversee the onboarding of Membership prospects from initial meeting to go-live.
- Maintaining the website including uploading documents, drafting fee updates and member notices, and keeping website text up to date.
- Assist in coordinating working groups and events, including monitoring invitation lists and attendance at such events when required.
- Assisting in obtaining documents required on a periodic basis as part of the ongoing management of the Members, for example quarterly financial returns, annual due diligence questionnaires.
- Responsible for monitoring the team inbox to provide first-line response to questions raised from Members, non-Members, ISVs and other parties. Responding to all queries and confirming accuracy of responses with other LMEC and LME teams when required.
- Ensure Members, prospective Members and Clients have the best possible ‘customer experience’ by ensuring a professional, courteous, accurate and timely response to requests at all times.
- Any additional tasks that will ensure excellent service to LME Group members, Clients and prospective Members as required.
- Degree Education Preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of the LME essential.
- Exchange and/or Clearing House experience is beneficial.
- Confident, outgoing personality with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience in a client facing role relating to the LME.
- Good understanding of LME customers and market.
- Demonstrate keen commercial awareness.
- Build and develop positive working relationships both internally and with external stakeholders and members.
- Demonstrate a sound working knowledge and understanding of client service.
- Strong presentation and written skills.
- Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate at all levels, confidently both verbal and written.
