Overall Purpose of Role
The Head of DevOps Tooling leads the strategic direction, implementation, and optimisation of DevOps practices and tooling across the organisation. This is a hands-on engineering role, responsible for ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable software delivery pipelines, supporting infrastructure automation, and platform resilience. The role holder will manage a team of DevOps Tooling Engineers, defining tooling standards, and drive continuous improvement across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring systems. This role will work closely and collaboratively with all IT functions to define and execute the LME-wide DevOps tooling strategy and roadmap, and to continuously push innovation in all areas of the business. The role expects the candidate to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a problem-solving mindset with an in-depth understanding of complex IT systems from deployment, configuration as well as support and maintenance perspective. The role sits within the DevOps Tooling Team reporting directly to the LME Trading Chief Technology Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Certifications like MSCE, RHCE, MCSA or OCA would be desirable
