As a Warehouse Operative Team Leader - Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will ensure efficient and accurate handling of materials, supporting production schedules and customer demands. Impact supply chain efficiency through timely material handling and inventory management. You will work out of our Ellesmere Port, Cheshire location on an on-site work schedule.

The Warehouse Operative Team Leader is a dual-role position combining operational and leadership responsibilities, with approximately 50% of time spent on each. The role ensures efficient warehouse operations while driving safety, quality, performance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operative Duties (50%)
    • Segregate and prioritise workloads from suppliers
    • Unload vehicles safely
    • Book goods into warehouse systems (SAP)
    • Put away and replenish stock using warehouse systems
    • Operate MHE safely
    • Support Goods In activities and resolve queries
    • Work alongside and interact with the AMR robotic solution (Geek+) as part of daily operations
    • Maintain health & safety compliance
  • Team Leadership Duties (50%)
    • Coordinate daily team activities and resources
    • Lead Tier 1 meetings and support escalations
    • Monitor KPIs and ensure reporting accuracy
    • Conduct shift handovers and debriefs
    • Act as safety role model and ensure audits are completed
    • Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen, HOS, PDCA)
    • Support training, onboarding, and coaching of team members
    • Manage documentation and reporting
    • Deputise for Supervisor when required
Qualifications
  • Warehouse experience
  • Experience with SAP or similar warehouse management systems
  • MHE trained or willing to train
  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • Proactive and organised
Training & Development
  • Candidates must be willing to complete Green Belt certification within 12 months if not already achieved
  • Participation in leadership and continuous improvement training
Performance Expectations
  • Meet operational KPIs
  • Maintain safety and quality standards
  • Balance operational and leadership duties effectively
