Location & Hours: Redditch – 37 hours Monday to Friday

As a Skilled Assembler at Honeywell, in Redditch, you will work in a low volume, clean environment, and be responsible for assembling, testing and inspecting products to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. Products are for the defence and space industry and are at the cutting edge of technology. This is a site-based role, 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathes and milling machines
  • To assemble, test and/or inspect components, assemblies or products as required to ensure compliance with drawing or other specification requirements as defined by production layout.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, and support Honeywell Operating System
  • Comply with all safety rules, record and report production data
  • Set up and changeover of equipment

Key skills and qualifications

  • You will have solid experience in:
  • manual machining, (basic lathes and/or milling machines)
  • OR
  • hold a Level 2 qualification, (from an apprenticeship, or City and Guilds or a BTEC), within Engineering, Manufacturing
  • Understanding of Engineering principles and technical drawings
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work independently
  • Good coordination, motor skills, and dexterity
