We are seeking a dynamic Shipping Administrator to join our team supporting the Eastbourne site within the Process Technology business in the UK. In this role, you will provide a forward looking planning and shipping function. You will be maximising HMD Shipping Performance, interacting between Sales, Engineering, Contracts, Production Control, and Supply Chain functions and ensuring that all documentation and procedures are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate un-invoiced shipments and identify sales orders needing urgent shipping actions.
- Prepare invoices for sales orders scheduled for shipping and coordinate notifications with shipping agents.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatch, sales, customers, and After Sales regarding shipping updates and tracking information.
- Ensure compliance with Letters of Credit and collaborate with freight forwarders to prepare necessary documentation.
- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives like Lean Six Sigma/A3 and produce relevant metrics to track performance.
- Obtain competitive shipping quotes to support cost reduction efforts and prepare customs entry documentation as required.
