As a key member of the Logistics team for the portables/fixed business, you will be expected to link across functions of Manufacturing, Sourcing, Suppliers and Couriers to ensure that the lines of communication are open across these functions to enable customer orders to be completed in line with their delivery expectation. By working safely to the right quality and to the right pace.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and develop processes and implement control measures around material handling.
- Prepare raw material for manufacturing and collect finished orders from manufacturing.
- Cycle counting and investigations of material discrepancies.
- Work with relevant departments to implement and sustain material handling controls.
- Identify and escalate discrepancies via the correct functions to remove bottlenecks.
- Pack customer orders following any special instructions noted on the paperwork, to the correct standard.
Other Responsibilities:
- Work with Goods Inwards/Picking Team to enable effective movement of product.
- Provide updates for Tier 1 boards for any issues in the respective areas.
Skills Required:
- Methodical and organized approach required.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word).
- SAP knowledge.
Key Performance Measures:
- Safety performance.
- Logistics OTTR performance.
- Cycle counting accuracy.
- Interdepartmental relationship.
The Candidate:
- Education required: GSCE or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Ability to communicate with personnel of different backgrounds and seniority.
- Proactive approach to implement new procedures.
- Highly organized and methodical approach.
- Physically able to achieve daily routines for this role.
