An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated manufacturing technician to join our team at our site in Edinburgh. We are looking for individuals with a range of assembly and testing experience to join our space clean room environment working on some of the most cutting edge technology within the space sector. This is a great opportunity for someone from either a space background or potentially a manufacturing and engineering discipline to join our company with great prospects.
Manufacturing Technician responsibilities:
- Hand assembly of Microwave Components, using soldering techniques
- Mechanical Assembly following a prescribed build process
- Following detailed assembly instructions
- Microwave testing using network analysers
- Following detailed test instructions
- Fault finding on microwave products
- Carrying out visual quality checks and packing
- Labelling of finished parts
- Ability to identify manufacturing improvements
Qualifications:
- Understanding of microwave signals or electrical circuitry
- Previous skills working within an Assembly and/or Manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proven competence in a similar role
- Demonstrate excellent dexterity and hand to eye co-ordination
- Work as part of a team
- Good time keeping
- Must be flexible
- Show initiative
