We have an opportunity for an Advanced Field Service Engineer – Avionics to join us at Honeywell, in the UK, where you will be responsible for providing assistance and expertise to the services centre on fixing Air Transport and Regional aircraft, in particular the Avionics systems and components. This could be in the form of telephone support, email support, or by visiting numerous sites within the EMEAI region to provide onsite assistance.
Honeywell Aerospace products and services are used on virtually every commercial, defense, and space aircraft. We build aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity systems, mechanical components. Our hardware and software solutions help create more fuel-efficient aircraft, more direct and on-time flights and safer skies.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct troubleshooting assistance to customers responding real time to customer technical inquiries via phone, email and on-site presence as necessary.
- Routing and escalation of technical issues within the support organization.
- Capture and tracking of customer issues through CRM tool Salesforce and maintain ownership of technical issue through to closure against identified service level goals.
- Manage and document customer communications via SFDC and own case closure.
- Provide significant collaboration and coaching to peers, based on knowledge and expertise.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable Air Transport and Regional (ATR) experience, and knowledge.
- A relevant degree or strong proven experience in avionics/aviation/aerospace.
- Practical background within avionic electronic systems.
- Previous experience within the maintenance and troubleshooting of avionic and aviation systems.
- SATCOM knowledge would be advantageous, but this is not essential along with Airline experience or knowledge would be desirable.
