Honeywell is inviting applications for a Field Service Engineer – Fire based in the North West. The role involves routine maintenance, fault finding, commissioning new systems and identifying additional sales opportunities across the Greater Manchester, Crewe, Lake District and occasional North Wales sites.
Responsibilities
- Service and commission fire alarm systems in accordance with client specifications and BS 5839 compliance
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Conduct site surveys and quote for additional works
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement solutions for customer needs
- Attend customer sites as part of an on‑call rota, responding to emergency and reactive call‑outs as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer in a servicing and commissioning role
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems including addressable, conventional, gas suppression and aspirating systems (Gent, Kentec, Advanced, Morley etc.)
- Ability to identify and satisfy customer needs and commercial opportunities
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
