We are looking for a Junior Firmware and Software Engineer at Honeywell. This is a full hybrid role based in the Bristol office.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with hardware engineers to integrate VHDL code with electronics
  • Document development processes and testing procedures
  • Provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards and regulatory requirements
  • Key skills and qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field like Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Experience in embedded systems and microcontroller firmware development
  • Ability to modify software and DO-254 knowledge would be desirable
  • Familiarity with industry standard tools, debugging tools, and source control systems and also understanding of electronic schematics and hardware interfaces
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
  • Able to get UK security clearance is a must
