We have an opportunity for an Advanced Field Service Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in the UK, where you will be responsible for maintenance and commissioning of predominately Bio‑Gas Grid Entry Units at our client sites across the UK, undertaking planned preventative maintenance or troubleshooting issues and to work on projects of new installations on required sites. This is a field‑based role, with country‑wide travel as required with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual servicing of the facility, including condition‑based servicing and PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance), and submit full job reports.
  • Test the Grid Entry Unit to ensure it is safe and functioning correctly before sign‑off, and provide hands‑on training and knowledge to new users/operators.
  • Investigate issues to identify faults and perform system analysis, carrying out replacements as required.
  • Engage with clients to understand issues, make observations, suggest improvements, and provide recommendations.
  • Meet customers’ needs via remote support as part of an on‑call rota.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within industrial servicing or controls systems.
  • Solid analytical/problem‑solving skills and technical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbally and written.
  • Gas industry experience or HND/HNC level qualifications, experience in the Biogas/Biomethane industries would be advantageous.
  • Good team player with a willingness to learn.
