You will be responsible for leading and actively participating in the design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems used in science and telecoms satellites and deep space probes. You will collaborate cross-functionally to define system requirements and specifications and ensure the efficient, timely completion of electronic engineering projects. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager. This role is 100% onsite in Edinburgh, Monday to Friday.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development of cutting-edge electronic systems that power innovative solutions in the space industry. Your technical expertise and leadership will contribute to the success and growth of our business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
- Support bid work by defining the scope of electronic design work
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in the design and development of advanced electronic systems
- Strong knowledge of electronic engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in electronic design software/simulation tools
- Experience designing space-grade electronics is advantageous
