We are seeking a dynamic Welder TIG/MIG welder (Welder Advanced – Level 4) to join our Eastbourne site. You will perform advanced welding tasks, ensuring quality and precision. You will interpret blueprints and work orders, contributing to the manufacturing and repair of complex components. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety and performance. Your advanced welding skills will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our components, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Standard welding tasks — Execute MIG, TIG, or other approved welding processes on standard materials with moderate complexity.
  • Fit and assemble components — Align, clamp, and prepare parts for welding using jigs, fixtures, and hand tools.
  • Interpret technical drawings — Read weld symbols and work instructions to determine weld requirements.
  • Conduct visual inspections — Inspect welds for defects such as undercut, porosity, or incomplete fusion and correct issues when possible.
  • Operate fabrication tools — Use grinders, saws, sanders, and other shop equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain safety and compliance — Follow PPE requirements, ventilation rules, and Honeywell safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years welding experience or equivalent training.
  • Ability to perform consistent MIG or TIG welds on common materials (steel, stainless, exotic alloys, depending on site).
  • Ability to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings.
  • Familiarity with material prep, joint types, and weld quality standards.
