As an Advanced Electronic Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading and actively participating in the design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems used in science and telecoms satellites and deep space probes. You will collaborate cross-functionally to define system requirements and specifications and ensure the efficient, timely completion of electronic engineering projects. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, where this role will be 100% onsite in Edinburgh, Monday to Friday. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development of cutting-edge electronic systems that power innovative solutions in the space industry. Your technical expertise and leadership will contribute to the success and growth of our business.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
- Support the bid work by defining scope of electronic design work
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team
Key skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in the design and development of Advanced Electronic Systems
- Strong knowledge of electronic engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in Electronic Design Software/Simulation tools
- Experience of designing space grade electronics would be advantageous
- Experience in leading and managing electronic engineering projects
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
