The Honeywell Country Controller is the owner of the financial accounting & compliance for all allocated legal entities registered in the Country. The role has end-to-end responsibility and oversight over US GAAP and statutory reporting and ensures an environment of strong internal controls. The role closely collaborates with the Regional and Global Finance Centres through management of staff and/or outsourced service providers. The Country Controller reports into the UKI Finance Leader and is an important partner to the regional business, tax and treasury teams. Other key partners include External and Internal Auditors, Corporate Finance and Functional Management and SBG Finance. The Country Controller manages a team of Country Finance Managers and Senior Statutory Analysts based out of the COE in Bucharest.
Accounting & Controls Us-GAAP
Participate in monthly pre-close / close lock meetings with GFC & RFC and ensure timely & qualitative close and reporting of books
Provide/Review monthly supplemental schedules and statistical data.
Review/approve trial balances / balance sheet accounts. Conduct flux analyses.
Review/approve complex, judgmental journals; define calculation method for recurring, non-judgmental journals.
Review country/region specific contracts and provide US GAAP compliant revenue recognition accounting treatment.
Liaise with Country Finance Leader, SBG controllers & commercial finance to ensure overall revenue recognition compliance.
Review/approve complex, high risk balance sheet
