We have an opportunity for a BMS Project Engineer to join us at Honeywell in the North East and surrounding areas. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and design customized BMS solutions that optimize building performance and energy efficiency. This field‑based role involves traveling across the region and occasionally further as required. Honeywell Building Automation is transforming the way every building operates to help improve the quality of life for the people who use them.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the input of various key internal and external stakeholders, including ownership of any subcontract designs (e.g., Panels).
- Implementing and completing the design of projects with the customer using skills and knowledge within BMS & control systems, HVAC control, integration, and applications.
- Working closely with the Project Manager to assist with the production and coordination of the engineering/design submittal to include equipment schedule & schematics, I/O data point list, device/wiring layout drawings and installation/commissioning.
- Developing and submitting FAT and SAT documentation for customer approval.
- Compiling training handover documentation for each project.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology‑based projects, ideally within Building Management Systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment with a strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and project sites as part of the role.
