- Embedded Engineer Responsibilities
- Technical Skills
- Has knowledge/experience of C and C++ for embedded applications
- Experience with DO178 software verification and validation
- Contributing to planning and executing project subtasks to meet customer specifications (designing, testing, etc).
- Assists in the completion of products to achieve certification and customer acceptance.
- May support other Engineers, Technicians and Associates to ensure project and product compliance.
- Communication Skills
- Contributes to project status and process presentations for leadership and external customers.
- Interfaces with vendors and suppliers to ensure product and project compliance.
- Communicates any non-compliance and the results of any internal project audits to pertinent parties.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience and 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Experience as software design engineer in either the Cellular or SATCOM sectors
- Experience with DO178 software verification and validation
- Experience of Python or Linux
- Exposure to agile methods and source control systems
- Technical background in wireless communications and in particular modem/wireless transceiver architectures.
- Knowledge of signal processing and DSP would be a distinct advantage.
