As a Quality Engineer at Honeywell, in Redditch, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving the company’s Quality Management System, identifying areas of improvement. You will be a focal point for customers, which includes resolving issues as well as supporting clients when auditing us on site.
Honeywell Aerospace products and services are used on virtually every commercial, defence, and space aircraft. We build aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity systems, mechanical components. Our hardware and software solutions help create more fuel-efficient aircraft, more direct and on-time flights and safer skies.
Key responsibilities:- Develop, maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- Conduct scheduled internal audits in line with quality standards, producing audit reports and raising non-conformances where required
- Analyse data and prepare reports to communicate quality metrics, trends, and performance to management as well as identifying areas for improvement & lead initiatives to enhance product quality and reliability
- Focal point for customers managing and resolving customer quality issues and facilitating on-site customer audits
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Full right to work in the UK without the need of sponsorship, and resides within a commutable distance to our Redditch site
- Proven experience in quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace manufacturing sector (within AS9100, ISO 9001 certification)
- Experience in Quality Tools & Techniques (8D, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Kaizen, SPC)
- Experience in non-conformance management & leadership of Root Cause Corrective Action
