The primary function is to act as lead engineer for gearbox design and development which guides the architecture, resolving technical problems, coordinating assignments for designers, collaborating with program leadership, and presenting to stakeholders.
Interacting closely with project managers, analytical teams, and designers is important to meeting project deliverables and milestones. Demonstrate effective technical leadership to guide innovative designs to give Honeywell competitive advantages for the future.
Understand and adhere to design requirements and practices, act with speed and accuracy for on-time execution. Listen to internal customers' needs and drive burning platform initiatives to reduce cycle time and cost. Mentor less-experienced engineers.
The successful candidate will engage mainly in APU, Turboprop, and Turbofan product lines and will provide technical guidance for gearbox design and development. The candidate will support and report out to key stakeholders within the Engines and Power Systems Engineering organization.
