Job Overview

Role Type: Full-time permanent role

Location & Hours: West Edinburgh. Shift pattern: Mondays - Thursdays 08:25-17:05, Fridays 08:25-13:20.

We have an opportunity for a Quality Control Inspector, with training provided, to join our team at Honeywell, in West Edinburgh, where you will conduct in-depth inspections on small electronic components used in radar and comms equipment, analyse data, and collaborate with teams to drive continuous quality improvements and ensure compliance. This is not a full quality engineering role, but an inspection position.

Honeywell Aerospace products and services are used on virtually every commercial, defense, and space aircraft. We build aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity systems, mechanical components. Our hardware and software solutions help create more fuel-efficient aircraft, more direct and on-time flights and safer skies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection of incoming and outgoing material
  • Inspection using traditional inspection techniques for mechanical parts
  • Inspection of WIP for issues identified
  • Support Production and Engineering on Quality performance investigations

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • Full right to work in the UK without the need of sponsorship
  • Lives within an easy commute to our West Edinburgh offices
  • A recent qualification, such as degree, apprenticeship, HNC in metalwork, Manufacturing or similar OR a proven record of inspection using manual inspection techniques or CMM, previous skills working within an Inspection environment
  • Demonstrate excellent dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
