We are seeking an Advanced Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) at Honeywell. The role involves investigating and resolving technical issues raised by customers in the aviation industry, including airlines, operators, MROs, and aircraft OEMs. The engineer provides technical support for Honeywell Aerospace’s mechanical and electro‑mechanical products remotely, and performs on‑site field service as needed. This is a hybrid/remote role with regular office days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for assigned customers regarding Honeywell Aerospace products and system technical issues.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, initiating corrective actions to ensure satisfaction.
  • Provide multidisciplinary technical expertise (mechanical and avionics) and operational guidance to help customers achieve proficiency in operating and maintaining Honeywell products.
  • Respond to telephone support cases from customers in real time.
  • Provide on‑site field service support by deploying to customer aircraft locations to resolve complex technical issues, and build relationships with assigned airline customers through periodic visits and scheduled calls across Europe.
  • Interpret and communicate technical support data; provide on‑the‑job training; act as liaison between Honeywell Aerospace and customer personnel.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to travel across Europe when required.
  • Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship and live within a commutable daily commute to the office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in aircraft engineering (or extensive equivalent hands‑on experience).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Solid experience troubleshooting mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems on business, commercial, or military aircraft.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer‑facing role, with a strong focus on delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
