As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer at Honeywell, in Bournemouth, you will be responsible for creating product design changes and providing product design expertise to sustain and grow our Aerospace business and collaborate daily with staff distributed globally at different product design centres and factories.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive product design changes, modifications, upgrades, customer investigations, supplier investigations, obsolescence, and test system design changes.
- Support product transitions and new repair integration to site and provide engineering request evaluations for non-conforming parts.
- Engage in value creation projects to reduce manufacturing turnaround time and repair costs.
- Lead capital purchase initiatives.
- Provide estimates and statements of work for various engineering efforts and projects.
- Communicate directly with internal and external customers and suppliers about status on resolutions for problems such as supply chain delivery disruptions, no-fault-found situations, defect escapes, warranty review, and first-year-in-service failures.

- Solid engineering experience in the aerospace or mechanical industry, preferably with a degree within this industry.
- Resides within an easy commute of Bournemouth airport.
