To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to Honeysuckle Home Care customers, enabling them to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes. Care may include personal care, companionship, household tasks, medication support and assistance with daily activities, in line with individual care plans and CQC requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal & Practical Care
- Provide personal care including washing, bathing, dressing, continence care and support with mobility.
- Assist with meals, drinks and medication as per care plans.
- Support with getting in and out of bed and other daily living tasks.
- Household & Community Support
- Undertake light domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, ironing and meal preparation.
- Accompany or assist customers with shopping, medical appointments, prescription collection and hospital discharge support.
- Promoting Independence & Wellbeing
- Encourage and enable customers to live as independently as possible, including participation in social, physical and leisure activities.
- Respect and protect the dignity, privacy and rights of all customers.
- Communication & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate electronic care records and medication logs.
- Liaise with Care Team Leaders, families, GPs and other professionals as required.
- Act as a mentor to new carers when appropriate.
- Compliance & Safeguarding
- Deliver care in accordance with CQC standards and company policies.
- Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection requirements at all times.
- Attend mandatory training, team meetings and one-to-one supervisions.

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications
- QCF Level 2 (Health & Social Care) or willingness to work towards (funded by Honeysuckle Home Care).
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to use a company mobile/app for schedules and reporting.
- Understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, data protection and CQC standards.
- Friendly, caring and professional approach with excellent time management skills.
- Good knowledge of the local area and willingness to travel between visits.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a car (if required for the role).
