We are a facilities Maintenance Company formed in 2007, based in Bristol, covering the South West, South Wales, M4 Corridor and the Midlands. Since forming, we have prided ourselves on building close working relationships with all of our clients, resulting in excellent retention and repeat business. Some of our current clients include: Great Western Railway, CBRE, Avison Young, SS Great Britain and many others. Our work covers reactive and planned maintenance, alongside bigger projects.
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our expanding team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for compiling quotes and tenders to be submitted to clients, for the completion of works and including the provision of all labour, materials and plant required. The successful candidate will be required to work to specifications, drawings, and tender bills, providing costs that are competitive but also allow for profitability, while maintaining existing contracts and seeking our new clients and opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Producing detailed, well-written minor works quotations based on client specification
- Submitting tenders based on drawings and bill of quantities up to a value of £2 million
- Liaising with contractors to receive the best price / service for works
- Balancing multiple proposals and estimations at once, ensuring they reach the client within deadlines

Qualifications
- Three years’ experience in a similar role (desirable)
- Degree beneficial but not essential
Required Skills
- Confident interpersonal / communication skills and able to adapt to clients’ requirements
- IT Literate in Word, Excel and Outlook and able to provide professional quotations
- Good organisational and time-management skills, able to manage workload and meet tight deadlines
- Consistent and thorough in costing for works as per client’s expectations and specification
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Ability to identify cost savings and ensure quotes are competitive but also profitable
