The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Based out of the Cirencester Sales & Events Hub, the role holder will develop further sales of bedrooms, weddings, events and food and beverage opportunities, in this office-based role, across a group of properties in our Heartland’s region (currently Thames valley and Surrey) and represent the Honeycomb Houses brand.

Manage and develop the events calendar to maximise sales and commercial opportunities across allocated properties. Ensure accurate communication and handover of event requirements to operational teams to support successful event delivery. This role reports to the Head of Sales & Events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively seek out and drive new business opportunities through prospective calling, client meetings, networking, attending wedding fayres, hosting customer engagement events, and attending exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Manage and grow corporate bedroom volumes through negotiated rates and corporate group contracts.
  • Operate within agreed commercial parameters and pricing frameworks, escalating exceptions to the Head of Sales & Events.
  • Respond to customer enquiries with a professional manner within expected guidelines, ensuring suitable delegation of the enquiry process takes place in the absence of the role holder.
  • Convert wedding and events, residential and non-residential enquiries into confirmed bookings by upholding excellent communication skills and confidently selling the event spaces professionally.
  • Support allocated pubs by working with marketing to generate collateral and online information to reflect the company standards and support sales efforts.
  • Maintain competitor knowledge through ongoing analysis of key competitors and potential competitors.
  • Responsible for achieving agreed sales and revenue targets across weddings, events, accommodation and food and beverage sales.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling, cross‑selling and proactive event planning initiatives.
Quality, Organisation and Reporting
  • Report on all enquiries and rates of conversion monthly to the Head of Sales & Events.
  • Prepare detailed function sheets and communicate event requirements to operational teams to support successful event delivery.
  • Ensure the business is protected by correctly upholding financial processes including quotes, deposits and scheduled payments.
  • Accurately update the system with bedroom requirements for weddings and events.
  • Uphold efficient time management and organisation.
  • Ensure all enquiries are captured in allocated software and that information entered is correct and reflective of the customer enquiry, and all communication between the customer and the role holder is captured.
  • Produce monthly reports for the Head of Sales & Events, detailing all activity and enquiries and conversion, as well as any ad‑hoc reporting requests.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GDPR requirements and financial procedures when handling customer information, contracts and payments.
  • Communicate in a friendly and positive manner and build a rapport with guests and customers, to exceed expectations.
  • Manage the customer journey from enquiry through to event handover and post‑event follow‑up.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of products, menus and event packages to effectively sell and advise guests.
  • Strive to uphold and receive excellent guest feedback and reviews for continuous improvement.
