Honeycomb is delighted to partner with a leading Insurance Brokerage Company to recruit for a Portfolio Handler. This role would suit someone who\’d like to join an expanding business, and who wants to get rewarded for a job well done. Must have experience in business development and building relationships with clients in the insurance industry.

The Client

Our client is one of the largest independently owned Insurance Brokers in NI, with their head office based in Omagh. They have been trading for 33 years, and through organic growth and acquisitions, have built a network of 15 branches across NI & 2 locations in ROI. They put their customers at the heart of everything they do and have an excellent reputation on the market as a leader in their field.

The Role

The role as a Portfolio Handler will sit within the Commercial division. Typical duties will include:

  • Fact finding to ensure appropriate insurance needs are met
  • Contribute to growth by generating new leads, identifying opportunities, and developing new business
  • Identify opportunities for up selling against quarterly, and annual New Business and Renewal targets
  • Staying updated on industry regulations and ensuring compliance
  • Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Updating computer systems with customer details to ensure accurate records are maintained

Essential Criteria

  • At least 1 years experience in the insurance industry developing client relationships, generating leads, and meeting sales targets
  • Good understanding of insurance products, policies and industry regulations
  • A desire to contribute to the growth of the client book by building new client relationships
  • Ability to identify and address client needs, negotiate, and resolve issues
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Package

  • Salary up to £30k, depending on skills & experience
  • Potential to earn up to £6k annually in bonus
