Personal Lines Account Handler

Honeycomb is delighted to be recruiting for a Personal Lines Account Handler on behalf of an established insurance firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused insurance professional to join a supportive and successful Personal Lines team.

The successful candidate will handle customer enquiries, provide suitable insurance solutions and deliver an excellent standard of service throughout the customer journey.

You will also identify sales opportunities, support customer retention and provide ongoing policy servicing.

The Role

  • Respond to telephone calls and customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Provide quotations and recommend suitable personal insurance products.
  • Identify and convert incoming enquiries into sales opportunities.
  • Support customer retention through excellent service and ongoing policy support.
  • Gather and analyse customer information to understand individual requirements.
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate and secure customer records.
  • Work toward departmental KPIs and sales targets.
  • Ensure all activity complies with internal procedures, FCA regulations and Treating Customers Fairly principles.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the firm's products, systems and regulatory requirements.
  • The Person
  • Previous experience within personal lines insurance or a similar regulated customer service environment.
  • Experience providing sales advice based on individual customer requirements.
  • A good understanding of insurance products and quotation systems.
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to gather information and match customers with appropriate products.
  • Good administrative and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Educated to GCSE level, including Maths and English.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant insurance and customer service training.
  • Honest, professional and committed to delivering positive customer outcomes.
  • The Package
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Monday to Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm.
