Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a Band 3 Finance Officer. The role will be based in the Ulster Hospital and is temporary for 3 months initially.

Location: Belfast, Ulster Hospital

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Contract: Temporary, for 3 months initially

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting essential financial services within a busy healthcare environment. Working within the Bank and Cash Office, you will provide high-quality administrative and financial support while contributing to the effective financial governance of the Trust.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing financial information accurately and within deadlines
  • Supporting financial governance and control procedures
  • Investigating and resolving finance-related queries
  • Maintaining reconciliations and financial records
  • Working with computerised financial systems and spreadsheets
  • Handling large volumes of cash and coin securely
  • Producing reports and processing financial data
  • Providing administrative support across the department
  • Organising meetings, maintaining filing systems, and managing correspondence
  • Supporting prompt payment compliance and operational efficiency

Essential criteria:

  • 4 GCSEs (Grade A-C), including English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • 1 year's relevant experience
  • 2 years' relevant finance office experience
