Honeycomb is partnering with a well-established banking organisation to recruit a Senior Collections and Recoveries Advisor for their Belfast City Centre office. This temporary position (6-12 months) offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team within a respected employer.

The Role

  • Working as part of the Collections and Recoveries team, you will be responsible for supporting customers who are experiencing financial challenges.
  • The role is predominantly inbound telephone-based, requiring you to manage a high volume of customer conversations with professionalism and understanding.
  • Key duties include:
    • Speaking with customers to assess their current financial position and identify appropriate solutions
    • Handling complex and sensitive discussions in a calm, empathetic manner
    • Agreeing on affordable repayment arrangements tailored to individual circumstances
    • Providing information on available debt resolution options and support measures
    • Referring customers to relevant external agencies where additional advice may be beneficial
    • Monitoring customer arrangements and making amendments where required
    • Ensuring all interactions are conducted in line with regulatory and company standards

The Person

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing, banking, financial services, or collections environment
  • An understanding of debt management, recoveries, collections, or asset finance processes
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • The ability to build rapport and manage difficult conversations effectively
  • A customer-focused mindset with a practical approach to problem-solving
