As a Visitor Information Advisor, you will be the welcoming face for visitors and tourists, providing excellent customer service and helpful information about local attractions, events, accommodation, and activities.
Duties may include:
- Assisting visitors with tourism and local information
- Promoting local attractions and experiences
- Handling enquiries in person, by phone, and email
- Supporting day‑to‑day visitor centre operations
- Processing bookings, sales, and transactions
- Ensuring visitors receive a positive and memorable experience
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs at grades A‑C (or equivalent), including English and Maths
- At least two years' experience in a fast‑paced customer service role dealing face‑to‑face with the public, managing a wide range of queries, and delivering a high‑quality professional service (Preferably within tourism, hospitality, leisure, or tour operator industries)
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including extensive computer skills, to include email and internet through employment and/or studies
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays
- A valid driving licence with access to a form of transport that will allow fulfilment of the duties of the post, or access to suitable transport which will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the role

Benefits and Working Conditions:
- Hourly Rate: £14.32 per hour
- Core working days: Monday – Wednesday 9:15am – 5:15pm
- Flexibility is essential as you may occasionally be required to work a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, with a day off during the week provided in lieu.
- The post holder will be required to drive and has access to a car, and the role is based across the following locations: Ards Visitor Centre, Bangor Visitor Centre, Walled Garden, Pickie Park
