The Role

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the legal team
  • Preparing and typing correspondence, documentation, and reports
  • Opening, maintaining, and updating client files and internal systems
  • Preparing documentation for meetings and appointments
  • Liaising professionally with clients, solicitors, barristers, courts, and other relevant parties
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and correspondence professionally and confidentially
  • Managing diaries, appointments, meetings, and deadlines
  • Assisting with the preparation and organisation of files and documentation
  • Monitoring deadlines and ensuring paperwork is prepared within required timescales
  • Providing general administrative and secretarial support to the wider team
  • Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive client information
  • Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the office
  • Supporting solicitors and colleagues with general administrative requirements
  • Building knowledge of legal processes and procedures through on-the-job training
  • The Person
  • Previous experience in a strong administrative, secretarial, or office-based role is essential
  • Previous legal experience is not required
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong typing and document preparation skills
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and competing priorities
