The Role
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the legal team
- Preparing and typing correspondence, documentation, and reports
- Opening, maintaining, and updating client files and internal systems
- Preparing documentation for meetings and appointments
- Liaising professionally with clients, solicitors, barristers, courts, and other relevant parties
- Handling incoming telephone calls and correspondence professionally and confidentially
- Managing diaries, appointments, meetings, and deadlines
- Assisting with the preparation and organisation of files and documentation
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring paperwork is prepared within required timescales
- Providing general administrative and secretarial support to the wider team
- Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive client information
- Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the office
- Supporting solicitors and colleagues with general administrative requirements
- Building knowledge of legal processes and procedures through on-the-job training
- The Person
- Previous experience in a strong administrative, secretarial, or office-based role is essential
- Previous legal experience is not required
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong typing and document preparation skills
- Ability to manage a busy workload and competing priorities
