Honeycomb is delighted to be supporting a well‑established local law firm in the appointment of a Legal Secretary / Paralegal to join its growing Newry‑based team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy firm, providing both secretarial and paralegal support across a mix of corporate, employment and commercial matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting fee earners with a varied workload, gaining strong exposure across multiple practice areas. This role would suit an experienced Legal Secretary or an individual with paralegal exposure who is keen to broaden their experience and develop their career within a supportive and progressive environment.

Role
- Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to fee earners across corporate, employment and commercial matters
- Prepare, amend and manage a wide range of legal documentation and correspondence
- Audio and copy typing, document production and file management
- Assist with legal research and paralegal duties as required
- Act as a professional and proactive point of contact for clients and third parties
- Manage diaries, meetings and key deadlines
- Assist with billing, matter opening and general administrative support
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure a high standard of work at all times
Person
- Experience working as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal within a relevant practice area (corporate, employment or commercial law preferred)
- Strong typing and document production skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive, professional and able to work independently
- A strong team player with a flexible approach
