Honeycomb is delighted to be working alongside a well-established legal practice in the search for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Conveyancing & Probate team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong sector experience to step into a busy role, provide high-level support to fee earners, and work within a professional and supportive legal environment.

The Job

  • We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to support partners and fee earners across a range of conveyancing and probate matters.
  • The role will involve delivering comprehensive secretarial and administrative support, including preparing and managing legal documentation such as contracts, Land Registry documentation, wills, probate papers, and client correspondence.
  • You will be responsible for audio and copy typing, document production, and maintaining efficient file management systems.
  • Acting as a professional and personable point of contact, you will liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors, and third parties throughout the conveyancing and probate process.
  • The position also involves managing busy diaries, arranging appointments, monitoring key dates and deadlines, and ensuring transactions and probate matters progress smoothly and efficiently.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard while maintaining strict confidentiality.

The Role

  • Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to partners and fee earners.
  • Prepare, amend and manage legal documentation, including contracts, Land Registry forms, probate papers, and correspondence.
  • Audio dictation and general document production.
  • Maintain organised and accurate file management systems.
  • Act as a professional and personable point of contact for clients and third parties.
  • Liaise with solicitors, estate agents, lenders, and other external parties.
  • Manage diaries, meetings, and appointments efficiently.
  • Monitor deadlines, completions, and key milestones across conveyancing and probate matters.
  • Ensure confidentiality and consistently high standards of work.

The Person

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal PA within conveyancing and/or probate.
  • Strong typing and document production skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear and professional communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A collaborative team player with a flexible and supportive attitude.
