Honeycomb are delighted to work with Ards Hospital to recruit for a Band 4 Administrator to join the busy team on a full-time temporary basis.
Ards Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly organised Band 4 Administrator to join our team in a busy and demanding environment. This is a key administrative role that supports frontline services and ensures effective communication between service users, clinical teams, and management.
The Person
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling incoming complaints from service users, requiring a high level of empathy, professionalism, and discretion. You must be able to manage sensitive information, remain calm under pressure, and communicate effectively with individuals who may be distressed or dissatisfied with services.
You will also be expected to demonstrate excellent IT and system skills, with experience in using a range of computer systems and Microsoft Office packages.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing and responding to incoming complaints from service users
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Using computer systems for word processing, email management, data input, and report generation
- Supporting wider administrative functions within the department
- Working effectively within a fast-paced team environment
Essential Criteria - Qualifications / Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Option 1: HNC/D (in a relevant subject related to the post) or equivalent, and 1 year's administrative experience at Band 3 (or equivalent).
- Option 2: NVQ Level 3 in Administration (or equivalent), and 2 years' administrative experience at Band 3 (or equivalent).
- Option 3: 4 GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent, one of which must be English Language, and 3 years' administrative experience at Band 3 (or equivalent).
Essential Skills
Candidates must demonstrate experience using computer systems and software for:
- Word processing
- Managing emails
- Data input
- Extracting information to produce reports
