Organisation: Southern Eastern Health and Social Care Trust
Contract: Until the end of December 2026
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
Location: Bangor and Ards Community Hospital
Salary: Band 2 £12.51 per hour
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and motivated individual who enjoys working in a busy healthcare environment. The Administrator will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Bangor and Ards Community Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Reception duties, including welcoming patients and visitors
- Answering telephone calls and booking appointments using the Encompass system
- Data input and retrieval using computer systems
- Maintaining filing systems and archiving records
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Processing and collating information
- Taking and relaying messages
- Dealing with a range of queries in a professional manner
- Preparing and transporting medical and other records
- Monitoring waiting lists and work queues on Encompass as directed
- Monitoring shared email accounts
- General office duties including photocopying and document preparation
- Any other duties as requested by the Administration Manager
Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Four GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent, including English OR
- At least one year's clerical experience
In addition, applicants must demonstrate:
- Basic computer literacy skills
- For typing posts: OCR Level II Text Processing (or equivalent)
