Honeycomb is delighted to be partnering with a well-established law firm in Antrim to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected practice offering a supportive working environment, excellent work-life balance, and a genuinely flexible approach to working hours.

The Opportunity

Working alongside experienced Solicitors, you'll provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support, helping to manage files, prepare legal documentation, coordinate appointments, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office. This role would suit an experienced Legal Secretary or an experienced legal support professional looking for a long-term opportunity with a firm that values its people and understands the importance of flexibility. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, however, the firm is happy to consider a four-day working week or flexibility around school drop-off arrangements for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Solicitors
  • Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence
  • Managing and maintaining client files
  • Audio typing and document production
  • Coordinating diaries, appointments, and meetings
  • Liaising professionally with clients and third parties
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing files in line with firm procedures
  • Responding to client enquiries by telephone and email
  • Monitoring deadlines and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the legal team

About You

  • Previous experience in a legal support role within a law firm
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent audio typing and document production abilities
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professional, proactive, and team-focused approach
  • High level of discretion when dealing with confidential information
