Honeycomb Jobs is delighted to be partnering with Relatives for Justice, to recruit two fulltime Victims' Payments Scheme for Permanent Disablement Advice Workers based in Belfast and Dungannon. The Client – Relatives for Justice provides emotional and practical support for individuals and families who have been directly bereaved or injured as a result of the conflict, or a carer for someone who has been injured. The Role: This credible position reports into the Advocacy Casework Manager and would have an annual salary of £32,076 with fantastic holiday allowance. Duties will include but will not be limited to: Provide information and advice on the scheme for people injured of the conflict. Maintain an ongoing caseload associated with the position. Make home visits in appropriate cases to the homes of persons seeking to make an application. Provide applicant with representation to the Payment's Board. Research and collate supporting evidence of conflict harm and injury on behalf of applicants. Mediate and negotiate with appropriate agencies in the preparation and presentation of applications. Promote and develop partnership working to increase the efficiency of advice services to members of Relatives for Justice. Responsible for the dynamic recording, collation and provision of statistical data and reports through outcome-based monitoring and evaluation systems. The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Essential: Relevant Third Level Degree and/or minimum 3 years paid employment working with victims and survivors in advocacy work. Awareness and understanding of how rights to reparations and advice issues impact the victims and survivors of conflict. Excellent understanding of the nature of conflict harms, physical and psychological injury, conflict trauma and its impact. Experience of collating archive materials and evidence on behalf of victims and survivors. Experience of giving advice on reparative schemes available to victims and survivors. Ability to interpret and clearly explain relevant legislation. Working experience of computer programmes e.g., Word and Excel. At least 2 years' experience working with victims and survivors of conflict in paid or unpaid capacity. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing. Ability to prepare high quality reviews and reports. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. A demonstrated commitment to human rights and the core values and work of Relatives for Justice. A driver's license and access to own transport.
