Honeycomb Jobs is working with a large Public Sector organisation, looking to recruit Full-time Probation Officers (6 months, to be reviewed). The large Public Sector organisation is situated across multiple sites with a range of locations; Belfast, Armagh, N Antrim, Portadown, HMP Maghaberry and Downpatrick.
The Probation Officer will be responsible for the management of individual service users in the community and those currently retained in a secure facility. Seeking to reintegrate service users, we are looking for both newly qualified and established Social Workers who are wanting to make a positive contribution to the lives of service users; encouraging them to participate in society in a more meaningful way.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Carry out detailed assessments of service users; including risk assessments.
- Managing a caseload of service users in the community.
- Supervise those placed on probation or subject to license.
- Representation of PBNI in courts, communities, prisons and other settings.
- Contribute to the delivery of high quality based programmes.
As the successful candidate you will meet the following criteria;
Essential:
- Must hold a recognised professional qualification in Social Work
- Must be registered as a Social Worker with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC).
- Experience in engaging with adults who have mental health needs and or drug abuse.
- A Full Driving License to meet the needs of the role.
