Honeycomb is pleased to partner with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service in the recruitment of a Part-Time Service Delivery Administrator. This opportunity is based in Enniskillen, offering 18 hours per week, initially for a period of up to six months, with the potential for extension.
Location: Enniskillen
Hourly Rate: £13.97
Working Hours: 18 per week
Contract Length: Up to 6 months (extension possible)
Role Overview
In this role, you will play an important part in supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the service. Collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders, you will help ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently across the Area Command.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and coordinate calendars, meetings, and events to ensure efficient scheduling
- Serve as a primary contact for communications, handling queries from both internal and external parties
- Maintain and update filing systems, records, and databases with accuracy
- Produce reports, presentations, and written communications within set deadlines
- Support the planning and coordination of training activities
- Contribute to performance monitoring, reporting, and assurance processes
- Ensure internal systems and databases are kept up to date
- Oversee petty cash and assist with financial administration in line with procedures
- Support procurement tasks, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock, and tracking budgets
- Process expense claims while ensuring adherence to financial policies
- Provide administrative support for HR activities, including handling confidential information
- Manage community safety requests and maintain accurate documentation
Essential Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- A Level 3 qualification (e.g. Business Administration, IT) plus at least 1 year of relevant experience
- OR a minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) with 3 years' relevant experience
- OR at least 5 years' experience working in a fast-paced administrative environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience within a large or multi-site organisation
- Background in the public sector or local government
- A full UK/EU driving licence or access to suitable transport
