Honeycomb is pleased to partner with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service in the recruitment of a Part-Time Service Delivery Administrator. This opportunity is based in Enniskillen, offering 18 hours per week, initially for a period of up to six months, with the potential for extension.

Location: Enniskillen

Hourly Rate: £13.97

Working Hours: 18 per week

Contract Length: Up to 6 months (extension possible)

Role Overview

In this role, you will play an important part in supporting the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the service. Collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders, you will help ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently across the Area Command.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and coordinate calendars, meetings, and events to ensure efficient scheduling
  • Serve as a primary contact for communications, handling queries from both internal and external parties
  • Maintain and update filing systems, records, and databases with accuracy
  • Produce reports, presentations, and written communications within set deadlines
  • Support the planning and coordination of training activities
  • Contribute to performance monitoring, reporting, and assurance processes
  • Ensure internal systems and databases are kept up to date
  • Oversee petty cash and assist with financial administration in line with procedures
  • Support procurement tasks, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock, and tracking budgets
  • Process expense claims while ensuring adherence to financial policies
  • Provide administrative support for HR activities, including handling confidential information
  • Manage community safety requests and maintain accurate documentation

Essential Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • A Level 3 qualification (e.g. Business Administration, IT) plus at least 1 year of relevant experience
  • OR a minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) with 3 years' relevant experience
  • OR at least 5 years' experience working in a fast-paced administrative environment

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a large or multi-site organisation
  • Background in the public sector or local government
  • A full UK/EU driving licence or access to suitable transport
