Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust, to recruit a Part-Time Secretary. This position is based in Ards Community Hospital and offers 18.75 hours per week with an immediate start.

The Role

  • Providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to Mental Health teams
  • Managing appointments, diaries, correspondence, and patient-related administration
  • Producing reports, letters, and other documentation using Microsoft Office packages
  • Audio typing and minute taking for meetings
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records
  • Acting as a key point of contact for service users, carers, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
  • Supporting consultants and medical staff with caseload administration and waiting list management
  • Contributing to the smooth running of busy mental health services

The Person

  • Essential Requirements: 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English Language, plus 1 year's secretarial/administrative experience; OR NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent) plus 1 year's secretarial/administrative experience; OR 2 years' secretarial/administrative experience.
  • Plus: RSA/OCR Stage II Text Processing (or equivalent), OR 12 months' word processing experience including report and letter production.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Package & Benefits:

  • This role offers an hourly rate of £12.75.
  • It is a Band 3 position which is temporary until the end of September.
  • Days would be Monday and Friday, with the remaining hours flexible.
