Honeycomb is delighted to be partnering with an established and highly respected financial planning organisation in the recruitment of a Senior Financial Services Administrator / Paraplanner. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial services professional to join a growing South Belfast organisation with a strong reputation across pensions, investments and wealth management.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Financial Advisers and will take responsibility for more complex administration, technical support and elements of paraplanning. This opportunity would particularly suit someone who wants to continue developing technically and potentially progress towards becoming a Financial Advisor.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced financial planning team, the successful candidate will provide high-level administrative and technical support throughout the client journey. Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Financial Advisers with client cases
  • Processing new business applications
  • Preparing client documentation
  • Completing and maintaining fact finds
  • Preparing risk profiles
  • Producing reports and supporting suitability documentation
  • Preparing information ahead of client appointments
  • Obtaining and analysing information from providers
  • Supporting pension and investment cases
  • Maintaining accurate client records
  • Liaising with clients and providers
  • Providing technical support to the wider administration team
  • Supporting paraplanning activity where required
  • Providing additional technical cover when other members of the team are unavailable

Depending on the successful candidate's experience, there will also be opportunities to become increasingly client-facing.

The Person

The successful candidate will have previous experience within financial planning, wealth management, pensions, investments or an IFA environment. Applications are welcomed from:

  • Senior Financial Services Administrators
  • Technical Administrators
  • Junior Paraplanners
  • Experienced Paraplanners
  • Candidates progressing through professional financial planning qualifications

Level 4 is not essential, provided the individual has the appropriate technical knowledge and experience. The organisation is particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate:

  • Strong pensions and investment knowledge
  • Experience supporting Financial Advisers
  • Excellent report-writing and administration skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confidence dealing with technical financial information
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive and commercial mindset
  • The ability to take ownership of work
  • A genuine desire to continue learning and progressing

Personality is extremely important. The organisation values people who are proactive, dependable and willing to take responsibility rather than waiting to be directed at every stage.

Adviser Career Pathway

One of the major attractions of this opportunity is the potential career pathway. The organisation is keen to develop technically capable individuals into future Financial Advisers and can support employees through:

  • Level 4 Financial Planning qualifications
  • Further technical development
  • Level 6 qualifications
  • Adviser development and client exposure

Candidates who already have strong paraplanning experience but ultimately want to move into advice would therefore be particularly well suited.

Working Arrangements

Hybrid On-site parking is available.
