Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a 4-day Medical Secretary.
This role will be based in the Ards Community Hospital and is temporary for 12 months.
The Company This is an exciting opportunity to join the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust on a 12-month contract.
You will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Mental Health Services team.
- The role is 33 hours per week over four days, with working hours as follows: Monday to
- Wednesday: 8:30am-5:30pm
- Thursday: Off
Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm The Role Key responsibilities: Deliver high-quality secretarial and administrative services to Mental Health teams.
Coordinate appointments, manage diaries, process correspondence, and carry out patient-related administrative duties.
Prepare reports, letters, and a range of documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
Provide audio typing and minute-taking for meetings.
Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records in line with organisational procedures.
Act as a key point of contact for service users, carers, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Assist consultants and medical staff with caseload administration and waiting list management.
Contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of busy Mental Health Services.
The Person Essential Requirements 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English Language, plus 1 year's secretarial/administrative experience; OR NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent) plus 1 year's secretarial/administrative experience; OR 2 years' secretarial/administrative experience.
Plus: RSA/OCR Stage II Text Processing (or equivalent), OR 12 months' word processing experience including report and letter production.
