Honeycomb is delighted to be partnering with an established Northern Ireland insurance broker in the recruitment of a Branch Manager for its Belfast office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Lines professional to take ownership of a busy branch within a successful and supportive insurance business.
The Client
Our client is a well-established Northern Ireland insurance broker employing approximately 35 people across four branches. The business specialises predominantly in Personal Lines Insurance, including motor, home, van and travel products. Due to a recent departure, the organisation is now seeking an experienced insurance professional to manage the day-to-day operation and continued development of its Belfast branch.
The Role
As Branch Manager, you will lead and support the Belfast team while remaining actively involved in Personal Lines enquiries, renewals and policy administration. You will ensure the branch delivers excellent customer service while maintaining a strong focus on retention, growth and compliance. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the Belfast branch.
- Leading, supporting and developing branch staff.
- Handling Personal Lines enquiries across motor, home, van and travel insurance.
- Gathering customer information and risk details over the telephone.
- Providing quotations and processing new business, renewals and policy amendments.
- Liaising with insurers to obtain suitable terms for customers.
- Ensuring customer and policy records are maintained accurately.
- Supporting customer retention and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.
- Developing new business opportunities where appropriate.
- Maintaining high standards of customer service throughout the customer journey.
- Ensuring all regulatory, compliance and internal procedures are followed.
- Supporting the continued performance and development of the Belfast office.
The Person
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- At least two to three years' experience within Personal Lines Insurance.
- Previous management, team leadership or supervisory exposure.
- Strong knowledge of Personal Lines products, particularly motor and home insurance.
- Experience handling quotations, renewals and customer retention.
- Excellent telephone-based customer service and communication skills.
- Strong administrative and organisational ability.
- The confidence to build effective relationships with customers and insurers.
- The ability and ambition to lead and develop a branch team.
- Experience using Open GI would be advantageous but is not essential.
- CII qualifications are desirable. Candidates holding IF1 or currently working towards further CII qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
