Honeycomb is pleased to partner with the Northern Ireland Medical & Dental Training Agency (NIMDTA) in the recruitment of a Band 4 Training Executive Officer. This position is based in Belfast and is initially offered on a temporary 2-month basis, with the possibility of extension.
Location: Belfast, Newtownbreda
Pay Rate: £14.06 per hour
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week - 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30am to 4:30pm on Friday
Contract Type: Temporary (2 months), with potential for extension
This important administrative post supports the delivery and coordination of postgraduate medical education programmes throughout Northern Ireland. Working alongside the Hospital Specialty Training Manager and Training Coordinator, you will help ensure training programmes are delivered effectively, supporting recruitment activity, trainee development, and educational administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all stages of specialty recruitment campaigns
- Manage vacancy information through online recruitment systems and arrange interview schedules
- Prepare interview packs and assist with pre-employment administration
- Organise and monitor trainee placements
- Coordinate trainee assessments and maintain associated records
- Support the revalidation process for doctors in training
- Assist with the planning and delivery of trainee induction programmes
- Arrange educational events, teaching sessions, and training courses
- Provide support for virtual meetings and maintain attendance records
- Update and maintain training databases and ePortfolio systems
- Develop positive working relationships with trainers, healthcare providers, and relevant national organisations
Essential Criteria:
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- GCSEs (Grades A-C), including English Language and Mathematics, plus 2 A Levels (or an equivalent/higher qualification), together with a minimum of 18 months' relevant administrative experience; OR
- At least 3 years' relevant administrative experience.
In addition, candidates must have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- A current full driving licence
Desirable Criteria:
- Minimum 6 months' experience coordinating events, meetings, or training activities
- At least 1 year's experience providing committee administration support, including minute-taking
- Experience in financial administration, including the processing of invoices and payments
