The Company Honeycomb is delighted to be working with a well-established public sector organisation in Belfast to recruit a Temporary Human Resources Administrator to join its HR team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive HR function, providing essential administrative support across recruitment, employee records, HR systems, training and development.

The Role

Reporting to the Human Resources Officer, the successful candidate will provide an efficient and effective HR administration service, supporting the day-to-day operation of the HR team and wider organisation. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the HR team.
  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment campaigns, including liaising with hiring managers and external agencies.
  • Maintaining recruitment platforms, including GetGot, and supporting recruitment advertising and social media campaigns.
  • Updating and maintaining HR information systems and ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date.
  • Creating and maintaining effective electronic and manual filing systems, including archiving.
  • Uploading and maintaining records through electronic records management systems.
  • Preparing and formatting reports, correspondence, papers, proposals, presentations and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Supporting the administration of training and development activities.
  • Assisting with employee induction and onboarding, ensuring all required documentation is received and verified.
  • Supporting the monitoring and recording of relevant HR information and reporting requirements.
  • Handling confidential employee information in line with GDPR, data protection and information security requirements.
  • Providing general HR administration support to meet the operational needs of the department.

The Person

Essential Criteria Applicants must have:

  • 5 GCSEs at grades A-C, including English Language and Maths, or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar HR role within the public, private, voluntary or community sector.
  • Experience of administering effective HR processes.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using an HR computer management or recruitment system, such as PAMS or GetGot.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end recruitment campaigns.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and delivering tasks and projects to a high standard.
  • Experience handling confidential information, with a strong understanding of data protection and information security.

Desirable Criteria It would be advantageous to have:

  • Student CIPD membership or be currently working towards CIPD membership.
  • Experience liaising with external service providers regarding HR matters.
  • Experience working autonomously and managing your own workload.
