Honeycomb Jobs is working with a large Public Sector organisation, looking to recruit a temporary Administrative Assistant (6 months, to be reviewed, with possibility of permanency). The Client - The Public Sector organisation is situated in the Bangor catchment area.

The Role - The post holder will support the Finance and Governance Department and in particular the Accounts Payable unit; ensuring the effectiveness and quality of the organisations finance and governance affairs are achieved. Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Undertake Accounts Payable duties in the preparation of weekly supplier payment runs.
  • Allocate purchase orders and goods receipts to supplier invoices.
  • Liaise and communicate with staff and suppliers to ensure successful resolution of order and invoice queries.
  • Process invoice and Direct Debit payments to domestic and international suppliers.
  • To be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the finance email inbox and finance post ensuring that matters are actioned appropriately.
  • To assist with the Audit process, providing information where required.

The Person - As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

  • Essential: A minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy.
  • AND Minimum 2 years' experience working in a busy finance department.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Previous experience of working to tight deadlines with good attention to detail.
  • Establish good working relationships and effective communication across all departments and external stakeholders.
