The Company
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Southern Health and Social Care Trust and gain valuable administrative experience within the Health Service. We are currently recruiting two Band 3 Finance Administrators, based in Newry. These roles are ideal for students available over the summer, recent graduates, or anyone looking to take their first step into a rewarding career within the public health sector.
The Role
As a Finance Administrator, you will be providing administrative support within busy finance departments. Key responsibilities include:
- Support the preparation of financial assessments for clients and residents.
- Raise invoices and assist with recovering outstanding payments.
- Process financial transactions accurately using finance systems.
- Handle cash, cheques, electronic payments, and receipts.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist with reconciliations, reports, and financial returns.
- Respond to queries and resolve payment-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with Trust policies, procedures, and GDPR.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet deadlines and service targets.
- Provide administrative support and cover for team members when required.
The Person
To be considered, you must meet one of the following:
- 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C), including Maths, plus 1 year of administrative experience OR
- At least 2 years of administrative experience.
You should also:
- Be confident using computer systems, including MS Excel.
- Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
Package & Benefits:
This role offers an hourly rate of £12.75. It is a Band 3 position which is temporary for 3-6 months. It is based in Newry.
