Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the Western Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a temporary Finance Officer based in the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen. This role offers an immediate start and is for 3 months initially.

The Company

The Western Health and Social Care Trust is seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to join its busy Finance Department based at South West Acute Hospital. As a Finance Administrator you will keep up to date financial records and work within the Cash Office.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and safeguarding financial transactions, ensuring all cash, cheque, and payment records are processed accurately and securely
  • Supporting a range of financial services including petty cash administration, patient reimbursements, charitable funds, and banking processes
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and databases, ensuring information is up to date and compliant with procedures
  • Providing guidance and support to patients and visitors regarding travel expense claims and other financial enquiries with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Delivering a responsive and customer-focused service through face-to-face, telephone, and email interactions
  • Assisting with financial processes relating to patient property, private patient income, and compensation recovery activities
  • Producing financial documentation, reports, and management information to support effective service delivery
  • Upholding financial controls and ensuring adherence to audit standards, governance requirements, and Trust policies

The Person

Essential Criteria:
  • 5 GCSE's grades A-C including Maths and English or equivalent qualification plus 1 years experience in finance role OR, 3 years administration experience to include 1 year in a finance role
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Desirable Criteria:
  • Experience of cash office work
  • 1 years finance experience working in a finance department within the Health and Social Care

Package and Benefits

This role offers an hourly rate of £12.75. It is a Band 3 position which is temporary and offers an immediate start. It is for 3 months initially, and based in the South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen.
