Honeycomb are pleased to be partnering with the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a Band 3 Finance Officer for an immediate temporary opportunity based within the Bank and Cash Office at Lagan Valley Hospital.

Location: Lagan Valley Hospital

Salary: Hourly rate of £12.75

Contract: Temporary- 3 months with the possibility of extension

Hours: Full time hours, Monday to Friday. 9:00am-5:00pm

Working as part of the Finance team, you will provide administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the department. The role offers a varied workload and would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Duties Include:

  • Processing financial information accurately and within strict deadlines
  • Assisting with financial governance and control procedures
  • Investigating and resolving finance-related queries
  • Maintaining financial records and account reconciliations
  • Using computerised finance systems and Excel spreadsheets
  • Handling cash and coin securely and accurately
  • Producing reports and processing financial data
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider department
  • Organising meetings, filing documentation, and managing correspondence
  • Supporting prompt payment compliance

Essential criteria:

  • 4 GCSEs (Grade A-C), including English and Maths (or equivalent) plus 1 year's relevant administration experience, gained within a finance environment OR 2 years' relevant experience within a finance office environment
